KANO STATE STARTS DISCUSSIONS TO REPLACE WINDMILLS

Kano state is in discussion with NEW ERA to replace or renew its
portfolio of windmills across the state. Over the years these machines
have fallen into disrepair and now will be replaced so as to once again
provide water to the people of Kano State.

NEW RESEARCH SHOWS GOOD WIND POTENTIAL OF NIGERIA

(April 2011)  Recent study published by the University of Ibadan introduces an advance model for measuring and predicting wind speeds in all Nigeria. Initial assessment shows much better than previously thought sustained wind speeds in many regions, paving way for more wide spread deployment of small and micro wind turbines. There is adequate wind to use wind powered mechanical pumps in almost all Nigerian states.
