(Dec 2012) NEW ERA ENERGY has completed the installation of the first phase of wind pumps in Jigawa State. About 500 animals and 200 people per day benefit from the water provided. A delegation of traditional rulers visited the Governor of Jigawa State to thank him for the wisdom to provide them the wind pumps. Jigawa remains one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria due to interventions such as this.

JIGAWA STATE COMMENCES PROJECT FOR GRAZING RESERVES
(November 2011) Jigawa State has commenced a major project with NEW ERA ENERGY to utilise wind power to pump water in its key grazing reserves. Jigawa State like much of Northern Nigeria has significant numbers of livestock that require regular water. The project is to provide wind driven watering stations across the whole of Jigawa State. The project will also provide water at key points on the cattle routes that cross Jigawa State from Niger to Cameroon.
