KADUNA STATE STARTS DISCUSSIONS TO USE WIND POWER FOR A BROAD SET OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

(March 2012) Kaduna State is in discussions with NEW ERA ENERGY to utilise wind power for a broad range of rural development projects that are intended to create employment and create social benefit.  Being able to provide water and electricity off-grid is key to these two objectives.  Wind power is recognised by Katsina State as being an under utilised resource which can help with these needs.  NEW ERA ENERGY has provided Kaduna State with ideas for eleven differing solutions that between them would create very significant employment and social benefit.
